Guardiola's departure will have have an impact in Barcelona's performance as players adapted easily to his coaching style. Football analysts and supporters have expressed their views, insisting that Barcelona is heading for its downfall. The team has lost three games in a row, an experience they have not had in two years. They were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by English team, Chelsea, which star player Messi missed a penalty in the second leg. They also lost in the El Classico against arch rivals Real Madrid, a game which most defined it as the league decider. Since Pep arrived at Barclona, the am has played beautiful football, which saw them winning thirteen trophies, dominating in Europe for four years.Their mini-slump has caused them both the Spanish league title, which Real Madrid are favourite winners, leading them by seven points with only four games remaining and the Champions league as they lost in the semi-finals.
Pep had kept everyone waiting including Barcelona on his decision whether he would continue coaching the Spanish giants. Rumours have also been circulating around the 41-year old manager's destination, with many speculating that his next job will be at Chelsea. At a conference, he apologised for keeping the team, supporters and the media waiting on his decision, he said at a conference " I am very sorry for all of the uncertainty i created over this time over my future, maybe it was an error of mine." Fans grew impatient over his silent behaviour as it created a tense atmosphere in the Barcelona camp. Players were also affected by his silence as the mood was as good as it should during the past three games. His reason for leaving is fair because he mentioned that the team needs someone who will bring something new that he cannot. (http://www.news24.co.za/)

Bacce is a big team they will survive with out PEP thou it will be tough if he dent want any more they shud let him go
ReplyDeletelast weeks loose against Chelsea mhhhhhhh my team was really not ayobaaaa:):):):)it really reflects problems in da camp
ReplyDeleteWow it is good to see how he leaves the team, is not fired but is the one who make a choice. Coaches went they bring bad results are fired but Pep lost to Madrid and Chelsea and is still in the game unfortunately the contract is coming to an end, well i think Barca will manage to perform good again i believe every coach have experience and plans for a team so whoever will take over from Pep will do good.
ReplyDeleteIts sad to see him go as he has achieved alot at Barca and he still have a lot to offer the team, they will surely miss him in the dressing room. I believe the pressure was getting to him after loosing 3 game in a row and the very much important El classico which would have propelled them to the top or even taking the La Liga.
ReplyDeleteThey have lost the master of tactician, atleast he was'nt sacked... that was his choice, though he have been linked with a move to chelsea. wish him all the best
ReplyDeleteIt was about time for him to leave because he has been giving the management tough time on his contract but he left a good squad with history at his age.
ReplyDeleteI think Barca will try all their best to prove that they were better before Pep joined them and they will still continue being better after his departure, now the question am asking myself is that I wonder if Messi will have a good working relationship with the next Barca coach or he will want to follow Pep.
ReplyDeletei think he was to quick to decide on that it does not mean that without winnig any cup this season then he failed the team pep was going to make himself a legend at barca he is a good caoch but he wont get a team like barca again
ReplyDeleteWell I think that he feels that in order for Barcelona to stay the best team in the world they need to constantly re-invent themselves. It is not hard to see where he is coming from I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens
